SOM’s senior management, at intervals it determines, reviews the EMS to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
The SOM management review process ensures that the necessary information is collected to allow senior management to carry out its evaluation and assess opportunities for improvement.
Senior management will ensure the management review is documented.
The management review meeting agenda will be in conjunction with established environmental management meetings.
Each management review will be documented and reported through hospital publications in order to keep all employees aware of the hospital’s continual environmental improvement.
Through evaluation of EMS review results, changing School of Medicine circumstances, and the commitment to continual improvement, the SOM management review will determine the possible need for changes within the SOM policy, objectives, and other elements of the EMS.
